The School Board and Parents and Friends Association is a combined group that represents the parents at St Finbarr's school. All parents and friends are warmly invited to engage in school life by contributing to this group.

As an integral part of the school community, this group aim to

  • develop in our school a community of parents, teachers, staff and students that reflect a truly Christian ethos
  • create a healthy forum for ideas to be discussed on any relevant issue that will benefit the education of the children or school community
  • provide feedback via a shared wisdom model that supports the principal in decisions in relation to school policies, direction and projects
  • fundraise for and provide educational resources which are considered necessary for children or to assist the teachers in their professional work.

The members of the group also assist in many areas of school life including reading, tuckshop, library work, community and sporting events, camps and excursions, working bees, social evenings and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Meetings are held once each term or as required with upcoming activities and events.
